dead cylinder

i have checked everything it has good vaccum good compression and good spark. my injectors have pulse. and with a stethascope they are ticking what could cause my car to missfire besides all of the things listed. the only thing i can think of is the fuel injector being clogged so no fuel is going into the ccylinder because the plug is white so it has to be too much air or not enough fuel. what should i try next?????

Try moving your injectors around? Sounds like you're not getting fuel if you are for sure getting spark. Are you sure all your plug wires are alright, none burnt or anything?

i finally fixed the problem i used our fuel sysatem cleaner at school today. its really kind of cool you disconnect the fuel lines and run the fuel pump in a circle and connect the fuel rail to the machine and force fuel and detergent through the rail for about ten minutes then you use the machine as a fuel pump to run the detergent through the injectors to clean them while the engine is runnin. turns out i must have had alot of gummed up fuel in the fuel rail. the fuel that came out of the fuel rail was black and sludgy. now the car runs like new

RedBird,

I'm having the same problem as you. Everything checks out, but the car runs like crap and is missing. Is there a way I can get a hold of a fuel system cleaner like the one you used? Do you think Murrays, Lee Auto Parts, etc would carry such an item? Thanks

it is a big commercial machine i would lean more toward like a nice repair shop or even maybe a dealership.
