85 vette L-98

I'm going to pick up a 85 vette L-98 longblock from a friend tomorrow. I have a couple questions..Is it a roller cam block? I know it has iron L98 heads and I assume it is a one piece rear main seal also? Does anybody have cam specs? I can't find them anywhere.
I also heard that they might be a 4 bolt main with forged pistons, but i doubt this. Any info there? Thanks.

85 Vette L98

2 piece rear main seal (86 and up 1 piece rear main seal)
85 Vette L98 had Forged pistons
Mid 86 Vette L98 received aluminum heads
85 Not a roller block (87 was the first year)
I know the oil pan was unique for the 86-91 Vette L98's due
to the windage tray. Not sure about the oil pan on a 85 since
it had a 2 piece rear main seal.
I think the lift of the cam is in the .410 range.
All Vette L98's were 2 bolt mains.
This information applies to factory installed Vette L98's and not
the factory crate engines.

I was pretty sure that all the aluminum head L98's were 4 bolt mains.

Not arguing, just trying to learn something!!!

I'm positive all 85-91 Factory L98 Vettes had 2 bolt mains.
If you can prove me wrong, I'll donate my 89 Vette to you.

you would be thinking of the LT1s. The 'Vettes with the LT1s were the only LT1s that were 4-bolt mains.
Just a little FYI:lala:
