Siamesed Intake on my Combo? Opinions Wanted...
Hey all,
I've read through this post from the FAQ -https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/showthread.php?s=&threadid=98960&highlight=antituning+TPI - and am now really debating whether or not it would make sense for me to do it on my car. The motor is still on the stand, waiting on the headers to come back from Airborn Coatings so it would be real conveinent to do it now.
This motor is now going into my '88 SS project car. It's an '87 F-body MAF TPI system, integrated into the G-body harness. The motor is a stock '87 F-body LB9 block, with World Products S/R Torquer 305 heads (1.94/1.50 valves, 58cc chamber), Crane 2031 roller Compucam (.438/.452 lift), aluminum 1.5 full roller rockers. I got an underdrive crank pulley from a friend of mine a few months ago, and I just picked up some SLP runners off Fleabay. The exhaust setup is Edelbrock headers, 3" highflow cat, and a Hooker 2.5" catback system. In addition, the car has a rebuilt World Class T5 and 3.73s with a Powertrax No-Slip system.
So, with the above mentioned combo, would I be better off just removing the walls on the sides where the runners are bolted on so it matches the SLP runners, or should I go all the way and siamese the bottom as well?
Opinions wanted, please post away.

So you are sticking with 305 CID? If so I don't think either will gain you much if anything looking at your cam specs. I would match the upper plenum to the SLP runners and leave it at that. You don't have enough came or cubes to make it worthwhile to fully siamese them.

Thanks Warbird. For now I'm keeping the 305, it only has about 22K on it since the rebuild a few years ago. I'd like to build a nice roller 350 for it in a few years as a father/son project. My boy is 1 now, so I guess it'll be a little while before he can really appreciate it.
Thanks for your insight!
