Problem trying to run LS1 injectors at higher pressure HELP

I was hoping someone could offer some experience in this matter. I have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator & fuel pressure gauge and I'm trying to run the LS1 injectors at ~56 pounds.

When I bump my fuel pressure over 50 and plug the vaccum line to the fuel pressure regulator the pressure is not dropping. If I keep the fuel pressure under 50 the fuel pressure will drop about 5 pounds when it is in plugged in (which is expected).

I'm not sure if it is a problem with my fuel regulator, vaccum, or fuel pressure gauge.

Is there anyone running the LS1 injectors at higher flow rates and have you run into the same problems?

Thanks

I have the big Walbro intank fuel pump and I'm not have problems maintaining the higher pressure. The problem I'm having is once I set the pressue @ 56# and attach the vaccum line to the regulator the pressure does not drop down like it should.

So whether I'm at idle or under throttle it is always 56#. I noticed this happens when I set the regulator for anything over 50#.

Either the regulator is stuck, or its bad or it cant over come the high fuel pressure or your Vacuum source is week or leaking. Thats just a few things to look at. Did you have any issues with Installing the LS1 injectors like the different height?

I instaled LS! injectors in a stock 350 tpi. The only mod I did was grind away 1/4 of an inch from the mounting bosses on the lower intake so the fuel rail would sit lower and hold the injectors in.

??? should there be a fuel pressure change with the LS! injectors???

Depends on how much you want them to flow LB wise as far as I can tell.

It sounds like you're maxing out your regulator, basically pushing the diaphragm center so far you've left the diaphragm itself no room to "relax" when vacuum is applied.

What type of regulator is it?

I'm running my LS1 injectors at 58psi, but I'm using an Aeromotive external regulator.
