Cold Start Issues

Greetings,

Im a long time member, but light poster as my TPI doesnt have many issues.

This spring when I went to pull my car out it was dead. It would crank and crank but would not start. It was determined that the Computer was bad. My mechanic replaced it with a NAPA one and the car runs great, sorta.

After the car has been sitting overnight it takes about 5-7 healthy cranks to get it to fire over. When it does start the idle is usually erratic and almost stalls a few times.

Last season I was having problems with the idle being erratic on cold starts but it would always start on the first try when cold.

Im leaning toward the Coolent sensor, with the IAT sensor as the second suspect. Any Opinions? The car only has 42k on it.

UPDATE

I changed the coolant sensor and the plugs. It still takes about 3 cranks to get her to fire up. Im at a loss here, what else can I check? I have a meter and good mechanical and electrical knowledge (engineer), just give me a push in the right direction.

Once the car is running it runs GREAT after the initial warm up. I havent had a chance to run it more than a min with the new plugs, but it definately idles smoother now. It never ran good for the first min or two ever, but it always started on the first try.

When it does start it kinda stumbles to life, not quick and snappy like it used to be.

Help me guys.

Things I am sure it isnt, VATS, Battery, Alternator, starter, wires, cap, rotor, plugs, coolant temp sensor, bad gas.
