Fuel leaking out of Throttle body

This was in Genreal, but maybe it'll do better here:

I pulled the air flow connector(I don't know the proper name) that goes from the air filters to the throttle body, and a ton of gas poured out from the throttle body! I had an injector leak, and replaced the only injector that was bad (I thought) ,and the morning I did the job it did the same thing, the entire throttle body and plenum had gas in it. I thought a leaky injector wouild be the culprit, but could it be something else? What's going on???? RBob said it's either my fuel pressure regulator or my charcoal canister. I understand what the problem would be if it was the fpr, but what would be the deal with the canister?

Maybe something is powering your fuel pump and injectors, and maybe one injector signal wire is grounded (the ECU grounds an injector to turn it on, but it modulates the duration of the pulses for flow control), or an injector is stuck open. The fuel pump is supposed to turn off when the key is off, and is supposed to be off within 2 seconds of turning the key to the run position (without starting it). That's an insane amount of fuel in an intake, to be running out the plenum, that you wouldn't see from 2 seconds of pump on. If you crank the engine with a runner full of fuel, YOU WILL HYDRO LOCK THAT CYLINDER and break stuff, especially if a spark plug fires from another cylinder and forces the engine over. Pull the plugs, disconnect the coil and injectors, and crank the motor and be careful, as it will spray fuel everywhere, and spark underhood will set it ablaze.

If the canister is over flowing, from maybe pressure in the tank, or parked on a steep steep hill, and is forcing fuel to the intake, try pinching off that hose. It'll run right without it, but if the canister is pressurised, it may damage it or at least be really dangerous.

Be sure to change the oil really really soon, i.e. don't drive it anywhere at all.

The only other time I have seen that is a vacuum leak at the runner base. Even with good O-rings, if you have lousy vacuum, you are gonna dump gas all over the manifold...
