Now on the first 5 runs i had my tires at 40 pis( stock is 44) then on the last 3 i tried 35 psi. also the last 3 runs i started having problems with my tranny. at wot the tranny started jumping from 3 to 2nd and back to 3rd. so i called it a night. my suspension is pretty much shot so i know that is on the list of fixes. another problem I had was keeping in one place while torque breaking. thats why i red lighted two of my runs cause the car jumped forward. my mods are on my sig.

what is the elevation of the track you were at? those times are pretty sickly. when my 86 was stock it went a mid to low 15. i am assuming the mods in your sig are for the times you posted above.

Depending on your elevation ..... ya that looks bad
here is what I did
1989 5.0L TPI 5 speed 3.08 posi 2.2 60ft ( big *** burnout on street tires....then I read that does nothing for street tires
) 15.1@93 STOCK . with bearing and synchro noise an injector on its way out ....and code 32 MAF isssues ......and 225'000km's ( hard ones I may add ) . Even though the auto's got a different cam you got some mods on there to help compensate that .
...just to give you something else to compare to .

i think we are at like 600 ft above. i think the heat and humidity was hurting alot of people. it was almost 90* out with 90% humidity. i wasnt the only person have problems. like i said my suspensions is crap. it will be hard to figure if i am having a problem till i fix the suspension. the previous owner cut the springs, and the bushings a falling apart. once i at least replace the shocks, struts ands springs then i will be able to eliminate that. and yes SFC and trailing arms/ pan hard bar is also in the plan.
there was a guy there with a ws-6. before he got his new heads
he said he was running 12's all day. he puts on the new heads i think he said he had stage III's put on. he was running slower. he had morst wheel bounce than i did. the one guy with him was running a 60's SS and was bitching about traction too. so it's hard to say what was enviromental and what wasn't. but for know its all suspension work before i do any more engine work.

D's89IROCZ, he already has a crane cam, it says so in his sig anyway. regardless of your traction, the heat and humidity does not make a car that should be in the mid 14s run a 15.5. also your traps are all over the place. you trapped a best of 92mph and a worst of 84mph(still ran a 15.5). somethin is up, that is a big difference in trap speed. does your car need a tuneup or somethin? was the check engine light coming on? with a cam, converter, and exhaust you should be able to run a high 14 at the very least.

i dont have a cam. i have a crane cam fireball ignition. so you are saying my car stock should be hitting 14's. there is one item that i did not list on my sig. my car had problems passing emissions and when the dealer checked it out they said i have over sized injectors but since i cant prove it yet or even figure out what size injectors i have i didnt place it on my sig. as far as tune up goes plugs, cap rotor all replaced this fall, oil changes current running syntex. now i am getting worried, hmmm. i have no codes. it runs alittle rich. hmmm, i wonder it the cat is clogged? i guess i will have to check. as far as my worst speeds go, my tranny wasnt acting right on the last 3 runs, it was bumping back and forth from 2nd and 3rd at higher rpm. i let it cool down and it acted fine.
my traps are alittle all over because I am just learning to launch in a auto. give me some more practice i should close them in.

Those 60 ft times are the worst that I have seen in a long long time. A minivan with a 4cyl can get 2.2's all day long..
I woudl practice your driving techniques, you are on the throttle entirely to hard off the line..
Try and walk it out of the hole until 1/2 way through 1st gear..

i will try that. i will hopefully get my sfc's by the next time i go.
I am still going to do a 1 over on the motor. the suspension work is going to take awhile.
