My car is running rough at idle

but runs smooth while im driving and when its cold. But when it warms up at idle its rough. It seems to be running really lean. Just did a complete tuneup(cap rotor wires plugs) I still have to relpace my 02 sensor(original), as I think this may be the culprit. I am running the stock 305 with a Compucam 2032 (214/220 .497/.510 @.050) and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator at 47lbs, TPS is set to stock setting. The timing is also set to stock. I did remove the EGR wall behind the throttle body. But it really kills me beacuse sometimes when I start my car it starts right up other times I may have to crank it, and other times it will 'put put' at first then will eventually come to a smooth cold idle. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know my non technical description doesn't really help. Any help appreciated.

Check your CTS. When cold (open loop) the computer takes its info from the CTS, to adjust air fuel ratio. That would be the first thing to look at.

Alot of it could lie in the tune of the PROM. Thats a pretty big cam for a 305 which might require moderate changes in the chip. Also might be running rich with the fuel pressure at 47psi. Have you done any data logging yet to see where the a/f ratio is at under specific conditions?

EDIT: the gutted maf could be playing with you too. It completely changes the calibration of the sensor when the screens and heat sink are removed. From what I read, it can be compensated for in the tune, but its a PITA.

Could you, swap in a stock MAF, for a test?
