Fuel Pressure Regulator Questions
I am currently using Accel 24# injectors in my TPI motor.
However, I am using the stock fuel pressure regulator.
I have seen ads for various aftermarket AFPR's.
I'm not clear on how adjusting the fuel pressure directly affects the amount of fuel sprayed by an injector.
Isn't an injector designed to only move so much fuel (volume) at a fixed rate?
Also, since I am running the 24# injectors with the stock FPR,
should I be using an aftermarket chip? Currently, the car runs fine with the stock one, but I didn't know if I was "missing-out" on any performance gains by not using one with my 24# injectors?
Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

From what I gathered, the increased pressure still sends the same amount of fuel through the injectors, but it has improved atomizaation, thus more effiecient burning. I could be wrong though.

the more pressure that is present the more the injector will flow
are fuel injectore on are cars are rater using 42lbs of pressure but ford rates theres at around 36 lbs
