Granatelli MAF

O.k, what is the offical opinion on the Granatelli MAF? Is it reliable enough to be used as a stock replacement. I ran a search and most of the threads were a dispute about the adjustabililty feature. I just want everyone who has purchased one to list there experience with it. Did you have any problems? Does it set off the check engine light? I read one post and the guy had a problem with it but Dave at Thunder took care of it and got him a new one.

Dave, if you read this how has sells been on it and what complaints from the customers have you run into to date. (a know your job is to sell parts not list there problems but I would appreicate your honest feedback).

So far Thunder Racing has the best price on it at $319.00.

Thanks,

I've got one, but I can't give an opinion yet, too many other problems with my car lately. But Dave at Thunder Racing is great to work with. He got my Vigilante to me quick after I broke my TCI Streetfighter.

Way overpriced for a (what a adjustable??) Maf. Just buy a Wells that flows better without any ajustments at less then half the price.

P/N is SU-145, and do a search and you should come up with the address.

Still a active part and still being made by Wells. Just not a lot of dealers handle them. The address of the source is posted on this Form. I posted it myself, but no longer have access to the address. So do a search...

We've sold roughly 9 or 10 meters. So far we've only had one defective unit in the bunch and no feedback to go on. I think most people are still skeptical so it hasn't been a huge seller. I believe it's still a good replacement if you need one plus you get some adjustability. As I mentioned before it's not the universal fix for tuning, but it will help.

I did a search for the Wells unit too, and can't find one on the 'net anywhere. Jim's87IROC mentioned World Discount Auto Parts, but it was in a 2+ year old thread and all they offer now is a remanufactured unit. If anyone can mention a current source, I'd appreciate it. The Granatelli unit looks nice, but spendy and I'm not really after adjustability, just reliability.

Sorry to resurrect a sleeping thread, but I'd like some more info too!

The WELLS Maf does not show up on WORLD DISCOUNT AUTO PARTS Web page. Try calling this number for info & ordering:
