Did the search but...(110 LSA Cam for 383)
How streetable can you make a 110 LSA cam? I have heard a bunch of mixed results. There are people running the 110 with no troubles and very streetable, but then there are others that are running 112 and having problems with vaccum.
The reason I ask is because I am going to be running a non-roller block for my 383, due to lack of funds, and with the help of a friend a while ago I picked out a 110 LSA cam because he was going to help me with prom tuning. Will I be running into major issues? Not to sound like a richard but, please come with real world examples also because I base my decisions on facts and only facts not on, my brothers, uncles, cousins, sisters, boyfriends 92 Z runs this. Thanks.

What are the rest of the cam specs?
Assuming it's nothing crazy, they are usually streetable. Moreso in a carb setup than in an EFI. If you can burn PROM's they can be run, again, assuming nothing crazy.

What ecm? You should be able to tune that cam, don't let everyone scare you off. In a week or so, I will be tuning and passing emissions with a bigger cam than that on a 110lsa. If you have problems with vacuum, then turn up the idle or get a vacuum canister.

89GTA,, I'm hoping to get mine running first.. I have a 110LSA also, and am close to firing up the motor for the first time. I just want it to run first,, then I can worry about burning a chip for it. Vacuum canister,, well I may just have to add that to the cost of everything else.. I think my cam specs are .502, .510 int/exh, but I have 1.6 rr's too.
All I can do is have no brakes,, lol

Dunno if this will help you or not, but here are my cam specs , I'm running a 110 LSA on a roller setup. After some tuning, no problems at all..

I will be running the MAF system. I do not trust myself to repin it just yet, I will have to do more research before I do that.
So no one has vaccum problems as of yet? After doing some more searching and reading what you guys have to say, I am ready to get this thing put together and start it up.
