Cold start enrichment?
My 88 L98 is pretty hard to start first thing in the morning. Has start signal to the crank fuse. Looking through wiring diagrams I can't really find any wire from this to the ECM. I know the early cars used this to trigger the cold start injector but do the newer engines actually have a startup enrichment of some sort? Also, mine takes at least 10 to 12 revs before it fires, maybe this is normal?

From what I've read on this site the CSI is independent of the ECM and works off a sensor. Newer cars, 89 and up I believe don't have the CSI but added crank routines in the ECM. I switched my 86 $32 code to 89 $6E code (no CSI) and my car starts much better without the CSI. I have a new starter too so that helps a little. It takes my car 2-3 cranks or less now, fires right up.
