LT1 cam??

i know it may be covered but i have not found anthing on using an LT1 cam in a L98 motor.... everything seems to be 305.. anyways... would the LT1 cam be a better option then the l98 cam... im getting an engine this weekend from an 87 iroc... and while freshening it up i am thinking of changing the cam. as i can get the lt1 cam for cheap i would put it in if it would be an improvment over the l98 cam... if it is better... is it a direct swap (other then the pin needing pushed in or cut off).. or is there other parts or things that need to be done.. thanks for any help

I asked the same question the other day, and the answer I got was that there isn't enough difference to warrant the swap. I dunno though, it's just what I was told.
