should injectors leak 40 psi shop air?

During testing/cleaning my injectors with carb cleaner and 40 psi shop air, several of them (if not all) leaked air when they were closed. They did not seem to leak the carb cleaner, but it's not as easy to see a liquid leak as air bubbling through.

Can anyone say if this is a problem, or nothing of concern?

Thanks.

OMG! You blew 40psi of air in them? You may have ruined them. The right way to check is to lightly blow in them with your mouth to see if any air comes through. That's my understanding anyway. But if they are leaking air through now then they are toast. If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

I did use 40 psi air, mainly because that's the pressure they run on the car. Maybe air is different than gasoline at that pressure, but it's hard to tell. I guess air doesn't cushion the pintle as much as a liquid would.

I also used a 12 volt power supply to pulse them on momentarily, and flow carb cleaner though them, for cleaning and testing. They don't seem to leak liquid (carb cleaner), but it's hard to really tell.

Gosh I hope I didn't foul them up.

I guess time will tell. Unless I made a mistake you should only blow in them to see if air comes through. Thats how you tell if an injector is bad.
