The better option?

Option 1----I have an opportunity to buy an 87 GTA for parts with a L98 in it. I was planning on using the engine, disk brake rear and some other parts and then selling the GTA wheels and Dash and trans to offset some of the cost of the engine mods.
I plan on porting the stock heads, rebuilding the bottom end, a new cam and either an LT1 intake or a ram intake. This would be a little more cost effective because I can sell things from the GTA.

Option 2----I could also buy a 350 shortblock with Aluminum L98 heads. With this engine I would get a new cam, rebuild the bottom end and put one of the same intakes on...Which would be the better Option and the stronger one?

That question really comes down to your personal preference. If it were me, I would go with getting the parts car, if and only if, there are plenty of usable parts that I would want, need, or be able to sell. Then I could use that 350 as an engine to build up slowly as funds become available and swap some of the parts I want from one car to the other, and sell stuff along the way to make a little money...Just my $.02

also depends on the Rims, If they are the cross lace rims It depends on how much you are gonna sell them to me for.

They are gold cross lace...and they are mint...the owner cleaned them with a tooth brush...but to stay on topic...I think I am going to make an offer on the car and sell the parts I dont need...

If you have the time, you could get a surprising amount of $ from parting out the car.
