Missing when cold

I Have read many posts here that have helped me out a bunch, but now I'm stuck. I have 2 issues I'm trying to solve in my 1988 GTA ( 5.7) . First one is Car misses when cold, unless your get into to the throttle then it wakes right up. After some drive time the miss goes away. I Have replace wires, cap , rotor, plugs, control Module and pick up coil. ( main with MSD) Throttle is much smother and some of the missing is gone, but some remains but only after cool down. I'm running out of ideasand $'s .. maybe EGR, 2nd issue is after running long peroids on days above 80 degrees the tank seems to build to much pressure and starts to stumble off the line. And I smell gas every now and then like the canister is not working. I replace the canister and silonoid plus the pressure valve but still get the smell. After releasing the tank pressure the car seems to run righ again for awhile. ??????????????????????????? thanks for ANY ideas..

Have you replaced the vent valve located on the chassis by the left rear wheel?

I thought that valve was to let air in not pressure out???? But I will try , It can't hurt.
