HSR question
I am thinking of replacing the stock TPI and convert to HSR. Looking at the set up in the Summit catalogue (SP), do I need to get the wiring harness and new throttle body?? If I am reading it right the base and plenum are around $600.00 and their complete setup is $2200.00. Maybe I'm not reading between the lines, what am info am I missing? Help please

If you already have a TPI unit then all that you need to really get is the HSR, plenum, base intake, and the fuel rails.the rest of the parts are up to you, if you want to get new injectors and a new throttle body then go for it. But you don't need to buy the wiring harness and everything because you already have one of those, i think that the only problem you are going to run into is that the HSR is EGR delete. Best of luck man, any other questions just let me know, I already went through all of that mess myself, it really isn't that bad.

I personally felt a little loss of torque, but it pulls all the way to 5300 RPM now. Tuning was what I expected, it fattened up in the low RPM range and got really lean over around 3000 RPM. But 12 chips later I'm back to 21 MPG.

Sorry that it took so long for me to get back to you, I lost alot of low end but i gained alot of high end, I just didn't put the HSR on, I did alot more then that. I now have a ZZ4 short block, ported and polished heads, LT4 hot cam kit and i also have the headers but those are not on the car yet. If every thing goes well, i will be putting the headers on next weekend, going to the NHRA U.S Nationals this weekend, after the headers are on I will be getting the car Dyno Tuned and i'm expecting at least 400 horses out of this motor. Thanks for the clean engine bay comment, but the car is far from done, alright everyone, have a good weekend, i have to get on the road for the races.
