who's gone 12's on the motor

just looking for a few different proven 12 second combos. Thinking about a superram, 214/224, and afr 195 headed 355. Maybe some good pistons so I can add some 11-second juice

That combo should do it. I would add 1.6 Roller Rockers to that cam which is very streetable. You will of course need to get a good chip programed for your combination.

I just rebuilt mine using the Trickflow heads and a ZZ9 cam. Looking for around 400Hp at the flywheel. This should get me into the high 12's. By the way I went for a 10.5:1 compression ratio. Good luck, Allen

That should get you waht you want.

Toss in a Vigilante converter and some traction and deep 12s should be your game.

350cu. LPE super ram upper and lower(not ported), AFR 180's(slightly ported) lpe 219/219 cam.
With a bad tune!! and no traction(2.1-2.4 60's) I ran 13.2. First gear is more of a tire roast than a launch!

Excellent. I forgot to add that it's got a 58mm BBK on it too and I've got a set of pro mags to round out the valve train. It's got a great converter in it now, hits the tires hard enough (even with the LB9) and it's relatively efficient up top too. It ought to flash higher with the added power. Then I think traction will be the main issue

That cam though is awfull small.

Also has alot of duration spread considering you are gonna run a head like AFR that has a wicked exhaust port.

Is that a lingenfelter flat tappet cam?

Its a LPE Hyd. roller.

214/224 .472/.496 on a 112

also been looking at the 224/234 .496/.520 112

and the CC305

I'd prefer not to go too big on the cam, since there aren't too many good tuners in the area for TPI. Mail order tunes only get you so close. I've got Diacom, wideband and a dyno but don't want to get in over my head tuning wise.

You shouldnt really have any probs tuning it in.

Mine was pretty easy to deal with. CC 224/230 cam.

I would be happy to let you use my .bin if you want it.

Then just go to a dyno and dial in WOT with their WBO2 sensor.

Maybe you just run the same cam I got, works real good for me.

Let me know in a PM if you need some help.

Ominous: I may take you up on that offer. I'll catch you on AIM sometime soon. Was that 12.5 with the stroker or a 5.7?

bjankuski: thank you. Looks like close to the same combo. Is that the 219/219 cam or the 211/219?

NastyL98_T/A,

BuckeyeROC ran a best of 12.1 on his setup with NO tuning whatsoever.. He still lists his old setup in his signature.

The reason why I mentioned him is because I plan to go with a similar setup on my GTA. On my factory 350 block, I'd like to go with a ported Superram, extrude honed big-mouth base, ported AFR 195's, 52mm TB, 219/219 cam, 1.6 roller rockers, SLP 1 3/4 headers and Y-pipe, 3" catback, 2800 stall, LCA relocation brackets, drag radials and some DIY Prom tuning. That should be a solid combination for low 12's. With a little juice, maybe low 11's.

Yeah....it may be a little more $$$ than the cheaper SDPC base, Vortec heads and LT4 hotcam or whatever cam combo, but the SR/AFR/219/219 is a PROVEN 12sec setup on a 350.
