Throttle Body "Plate" to smooth incoming air
Alright, I 've seen these angled plates, you connect to the front of the throttle body to smooth the airflow into the plenum. I've ported the stock plenum and wondering if I'll really see a difference if I got one.
So three questions:
1. does anyone know the official name of this thing?
2. does it work/is it worth it?
3. I remember seeing one for about $50, seems expensive for a piece of shaped metal, anyone ever found a home-made alternative or better price?
Thanks, Lance

Probably not.
1. Airfoil.
2. Theoretically yes/no.
3. I've cast my own, others have made theirs from epoxy or some such.
You're welcome.

I found one for cheap. You won't feel a difference, most aftermarket throttle bodies already have it built in.
Don't think it's worth it.
