88 tpi setup on a older block ?
I have a TPI setup and I want to keep it on the car but replace the tired old 305 with a 350 4 bolt main/ all forged insides and motown heads I have.
Now this was in my old monte with a victor jr and a 750 on it ,can I just take the manifold off and bolt my TPI on top, put in some inj and a prom from a 350 car?
The unit is bolted to the 88 centerbolt valve cover car and the heads I have on the new engine are old style perimiter bolts
just thought I would ask before I have a mess. I do understand it will not make as much hp with the tpi that is ok. looking for a good driver

I'm doing, more or less the same thing.
I elongated the center base manifold bolt holes. Everything else bolts right up.
For a 350, use injectors form a 1991-1995 "Tuned Port Injection" 3800 v6. Got mine at the local Pick-n-pull. They are the same flow rate as the stock 350. With cleaning, flow matching and new O-Rings I've got about $85 invested in them.
AN AFPR and your stock 305 injectors would also work too.
Forgot to add that you'll need a 350 knock sensor too.

Also, where did you get 8 injectors cleaned, flow-matched, and new o-rings for $85? I've casually looked around, but it seems like places want $20/injector.

I had this done at my local machine shop, its only 4 bolt holes, it cost me a 12 pack..... but heres the thing when you install the intake use lots of silicone, the enlongated bolt holes are prone to leak, so take care of it before it starts..... other than that no problems.
