Anyone with ++ thoughts on BBK 52 TB

Just curious, done a quick search, does anyone have any good things to say about BBK, or BBK/Edelbrock throttle bodies? They seem to be priced the best. Holley is pretty expensive, and seem to only come polished (don't want that). If you get someplace like TPIS or Skulte performace to mod your stock one out to 52, is that just as good? (Skulte is way cheaper than TPIS) Are there any other choices? Has anybody used Skulte for this mod. Andris seems pretty cool.

You can get modded ones off the internet for about $ 170 plus $ 60 core charge.

tb upgrades are a waste of money... tpi doesent flow enough to max the stock 48mm tb.

What about if you upgrade your base, plenum, and runners, with headers and better catback exhaust? The air in and out is upped, so wouldn't a bigger TB be the next choice? Not a 58, but a 52. In Lingenfelter's, TPIS's, and Arizona Speed & Marine's old catalogues and mag articles, they all seem to upgrade this early on in the stages of upgrades. Doesn't it benefit once you start the mods?

money could be spent on something better imo... lca's, phb, sfc's even if you port everything it wouldent be worth the money. 48 is good enough... hell i think the stock maff will max out in flow b4 the 48mm tb lol.

But having high flow runners should give you a little more than 4500 rpm right?

I have already done all this, now I am going to start on the intake. Just want to know what is the best bang for the buck, and if any will limit me for any future mods.

I already have sfcs and a GM ZZ-1 or ZZ-2 cam depending on what you read . Since this cam is a little to radical for my set up, I heard upgrading my intake could help at idle and give me some decent gains all through the band.
