Bought an 85Z w/ an LG4...says on the bumper that it has "Crossfire Injection" but under the hood, doesn't look like what I've seen before and I also read that CFI was discontinued in '84 model year....please advise.

Thanks.

actually crossfire injection was made in 82-83 Fbodys , the latest CFI was in the 84 Corvette. Also are you sure its a 85? Check your VIN number and your RPO codes here, it would answer your questions. Or Maybe someone stuck it on there or maybe a swap...

The bumper could have been changed out just as easily.

Look on the side of the car, on the GFX. It should say Z-28. If it's a crossfire car, it should say Cross-fire injection below the Z28. ALso, you could look up front, by the hood latch assembly, there should be a little plaque thing with the LU5 RPO. That's where mine is and I have a CFI car, well, was a CFI.
