I was supposed to help a friend with cam/head/TC swap. To make a LONG story short:
The car is a 88 GTA that´s been converted to 91 MAP. When I got it here, the +cable was almost burned apart and had cut a 5cm long hole in the header. It ran like crap, and there was a HUGE vacuum-leak because of wrong choosen hoses. These two problems are solved.

Because of LOTS of problems, the TC and heads (TF Gen.1) never got replaced. The cam is a Crane HR-284-2S-12, the rest is stock.

Now the car won´t start. It ALMOST starts, but never fires up.
- battery is fully charged
- good spark
- connections double checked
- distributor correct installed
- valve adjustments made
- it gets fuel (on the 3rd set of plugs, they "drown" of all cranking)

What was supposed to take 3 days, now has taken 4 months because of problems, problems, misfitting, problems, lack of motivation etc. etc.

Please, help. I´m all out of ideas. I´m not sure if the owner would appreciate that I put some C4 under the car (which is not TOO far away).

I went out to check the injectors, maybe they where bad. Nope, all of them was 16.8-17.3

A friend called me and I was going to let him listen over the phone, and then something happened that didn´t before... A large detonation which I THINK came from the intake. I switched the plugs 180deg, without any progress.

PLEASE, this is killing me, at least the detonation almost gave me a heartattack
