305 power
I have a 91 camaro 305 TBI that am starting to convert to a TPI. I was wondering what i could do to squeez the most hp out of my little 305. I really would like to keep it sorta simple with out spending big because if thats the case i will just buy a crate motor. Thanks for the help.

Do you have the TPI yet? If you plan on swapping in a crate motor at some time, I would probably swap in a good induction system as well. It maybe easier and more benificial to swap to an aftermarket system from the TBI. 12 sec NA and stock TPI induction don't go very well together.
By doing little bolt-ons and some tuning to the TBI system I got into the mid 14s and ~95 mph on stock TBI heads in a 305. With the stock cam in the TBI, I made 178 rwhp and 270 rwtq.

yah with some tuning there is noting wrong with TBI at all, Chevy High Performance just did an article on building a TBI 305 using vortec heads, do a search. also check my sig, i have a TPI 305 but my heads and cam woudl work well in a TBI application too. it depends on how fast you want to go, but with a real exhaust and a custom chip, i think my car can go a 13.70, and i currently get 24mph. i think that is respectable on the street with stock parts on a budget, just an example of what is possible wiht a 305.
