MAT Sensors

I have a questions about MAT Sensors that I figured someone would know off the top of their head.

I have an 86 IROC with a 355 TPI motor. I am looking into moving my MAT sensor in front of the throttle body to get a little better throttle response and have been hearing that if I use a MAT Sensor from a 92 year engine it will respond better than the 86 year sensor. Has anyone heard of this before, or know if it is true?

Thanks...

The MAT sensor for the MAF systems only comes into play during EGR operation, otherwise it is basically ignored by the ECM. So, relocating it won't do anything for you.
