Edelbrock TPI intake
Anyone here run one of those? I was unaware that they made a TPI intake until recently.
I thought my only choices were the TPIS Big Mouth or porting my stock intake.
Any thoughts or comments?

don't forget the accel manifold as well. in reality they all flow about the same because they are basically copy cat manifolds of each other. which ever one you can find for the cheapest is what I would go with. I just came across mine on ebay so went with it.

How much is that Accel unit? The Edelbrock runs for about $370 or so.
The TPIS is $425.00 and they want to charge $75.00 to port it.

It's my understanding that Edelbrock makes all three. So which ever one you can get the cheapest.

I have the Big Mouth. Was ok for the 350, maybe needed a bit more with the TFS TW heads, but I personally liked it as I had set up the car as a sleeper. AS&M LTR's with the Big mouth was nice. I probably will swap out to an LT-1 intake next year with the 383.

all depends on whats done to the motor. if its a 305, the stock TPI will flow enough. If its a stock L98, you will benefit from bigger runers and some porting of the stock setup. If it's a modded L98 you'll want to port an aftermarket setup. I'm partial to the LPE Super Ram. You get the top end power without sacrificing any down low. If you're on a budget, try ebay for an Accel or TPIS base, SLP runners, and port the stock plenum.
