what happened?

i was trying to see if my fan switch worked(which it did), the fan turned on and as usal the engine had some trouble i'm guesing becuase it draws so much power. but the fan shut off and the engine started shaking really bad and missing and everything. and now i have codes 33 and 54(i've had the MAF code just whats this other one about). and it also has a baaad hesitation when i give it any gas at all. like it has a vacum leak. but it was running clean as a whistle before i "tested" my fan switch.

i would have tried searching for code 54 on the bourd but it won't let me"under the minimun word length(3)"

MAF codes 54 and 55 are almost always set by bad relays. Replace the relays in the back of the engine bay on the drivers side firewall.

As for the fan causing a lot of draw, it will send my voltage down to 12v and then back to 14.1v. This sounds pretty normal, but I think your problem will be cleared up after fixing the MAF, then you can attack the voltage draw from the fans.

you could possibly have a fan motor(s) going south. this will sometimes cause them to drag bad and draw more power. try spinning them by hand, see if it turns freely...
