Engine Output? 383

Hey guys ,,, Im about to order all the stuff to finish up my ongoing 3 year project 383... when i started lt1 was the hot motor ,, now not even ls1 are new anymore lol

So i have a 4 grand l98 block 383 built minus heads and intake,, just sitting

So i have to finish my project to keep the guilt from killing me ,, when i look at my poor firebird in the yard everyday

Im not really wanting to put anymore money into this engine other then the basics,, My goal is to be at 400 hp or over --NA

Here is my build up

l98 block eagle 383 kit
lt4 hot cam
all heavy duty/racing parts, internal parts, from crane lifters to timeing chain, ect
SLP 3/4 headers
30lb accel injectors

With the parts im going to order here in next few days,, (trick flow 23 heads and 1.6 rockers, and HSR )

Would this combo put me at the 400 mark ? Im thinking even with the mild hot cam this will get me there. But I have nerver really spec'ed it out

I recenlty sold my 95LT1 Z28 , and bought a 99 vette c5 so im not looking to go with AFR heads ect for the old tpi setup,, just trying to get this motor out of the garage and not spend the money i have set aside for my vette upgrades.. my vette really needs long tube headers

What do you guys think my tpi setup will get me ?

Well if you are going with the HSR then head over to stealthram.com and check out what those guys are doing. I know for a fact that someone is running in the 11's with a HSR, Hot Cam, and AFR's. But with trickflows, they are still very decent heads with some rather impressive flow numbers so you'd be very close to your mark.....depending on other factors of course (i.e. accesories, tranny, rear end, etc.)

Now, if you're just going to stay TPI, that'd be a hard thing to guess at. SDPC2000.com has a 350 vortec headed, hot cammed, tpi that puts out 357hp at 4200rpm, and close to 420lb/ft at 4200rpm as well, if I remember correctly. But since stock L98 heads aren't close to Vortecs, I think you might be a bit disappointed in your results if you go with a stock top end L98. Since it's a 383 though, you'd be making some insane torque and traction might start becoming an issue...as if that's a bad thing

Hope this helps a bit.
