Is this a true statement?

EGR systems are really sensitive to modifications since exhaust backpressure is so critical to that system
Anybody?

not really true

i modded my old 357 tpi with the usual, zz-9 cam, trick flow heads, headers etc. i never had any problems. then i went to a 436 with a solid roller, and thats when i started throwing the egr code. the cam did not deliver the vacuum needed , and the code was set. i just had the egr deleted from the programming. brodix track-1s dont have a cross over anyway, so my egr was inoperative....tom
