What valve springs???

AFR 195's
509"/530" lift camshaft
Crower Stud Mt 1.5 Roller Rockers

What valve springs should I buy? Looking through Crowers catalog at their springs I'm just lost The AFR heads use a 1.450 O.D. spring and looking at Crowers catalog I would then use P/N 68382-16, but is that right? It lists a spring rate of 463. How do I know what pound springs I should use? I contacted CamMotion but they would not say in their email reply when I asked...

I'm a fan of the Comp 987 series.

Do you know your current installed height? What cam is this?

I just want to stay Crower so I can order it with all my other Crower parts and have a complete setup from them.

Current installed height, I have no clue AFR does not list installed height for thier springs on their site. Crower shows an installed height of 1.900 for thier springs though.

It's a custom grind cam from CamMotion...

I wouldn't attempt to get particular over who makes the valve spring, just so you can stay all one company. I would much rather get the valve spring best suited for a particular application.

But, your call. Find one with similar specs to the 987.

Personally for cams in the .5-.600" lift range I prefer COMP 987s. Great spring w/ great quality and durability. For higher lift a company like ISKY or Manly w/ their duals are better, but for you application I say the 987s.

Crane makes a similar springs, but I can't remember the PN...
