i have searched through here,and can't really find a thread that answers my question.
i got an 87' camaro iroc-z. 305 FI. automatic.
no engine work done,all stock.
i'm looking for a new intake manifold to upgrade to. i'm mainly looking for power. who isnt? i'd like to see some of all your opinions.

From the little information given, I don't see why you would need any of those manifolds. You have a completely stock 305. You would probably be better off with a mild cam and some headers. The heads you have flow pretty well with some porting. I would do some bowl blending and work the valve guides a bit. None of this is hard or difficult to do. But it is all worth it so long as you do the work yourself. By the way, the portwork would cost you next to nothing. Basically you just need a $12 die grinder, a pair of $10 carbide bits, and some gaskets). The benefits will be greater if you look into doing your own chips. Its really not difficult either.
If you go with an aftermarket manifold, you are going to end up spending atleast $400, and gain next to nothing on your stock 305. In fact, you will probably lose some low end, depending on what you go with. If this is your daily driver, you would probably be happier with the stock 305 manifold, atleast for now.
