Started back in june putting in all the mods in my sig. It was a basically stock TA with a 305. Didn't expect it to take this long, but I also didn't expect half of the problems that I had. Can't wait to drive it again!

 

Your cold air setup is very similair to mine except mine goes to the other side. I also use the LT1 elbow along with a K&N airfilter with a 3 1/2 inch inlet. I will be going to the track Saturday to see how it runs.

You should not have a restriction on the intake side. Sounds like your exhaust side is also taken care of. Next item would be the heads. I see you are going with the Dart heads. I have the Trickflows. I'am running a ZZ9 clone cam. 212 on the intake and 222 on the exhaust. I'll post my results.

If you have it set up right you should be well into the 12's. Allen

Yeah, I definately need new heads. The crate motor came with swirlports even though it was sold as a TPI motor. The only reason Im gonna go with the dart heads is because I want to keep my compression from getting any lower (9.2). The swirlports are cast iron with small chambers (64cc) so that kind of limits my options to the iron eagles or the S/R torquers. Working on a budget sucks... Hey good luck at the track man, let us know how it does... Hopefully I'll have some timeslips in the spring time...

 

Yeah man tell me about it... I like your avatar, kinda reminds me of how i felt half way through this project...

 

I'm running a modified TPI.
1. Edelbock TPI manifold extrude honed.
2. Early SLP runners with one side fully siamesed and the other of the set siamesed at the top and bottom.
3. Fulley ported plenum with a 52MM throttle body.
4. All ports matched up.

There are others in our So Cal Third Gen Club running the super ram and with very good results. We are talking around the 110 MPH mark and mid 12's. The quickest car is running the Arizona Speed and Marine runners.
