eliminate cold start injector
I bought a used set of AS&M semi-siamised runners that have the cold started injector hole plugged off.
I know I need a custom chip to eliminate the 9th injector without cold starting issues but what is the best way to block off the end of the fuel rail?
What about the small tube behind the 2nd runner on the driver side, some one told me this was part of the idle circuit and that I would have to block the tube if the 9th injector was eliminated.
Please help.
Thanks
Robert

If the AS&M runners block off the CSI port, then you don't have to worry about the small tube behind the 2nd runner. It will be sealed at the bottom end by the new runner.
What you need is a chip for an '89 car. That was the year they used MAF without the CSI.
You could tap the end of the fuel rail and put in a pipe plug where the CSI tube goes, but be careful about it. Fuel leaks are bad.

If you want a cheaper solution that works just as well, I've also got caps for $10 shipped. I've had one on my IROC for a couple years now with no o-ring and I've never had a leak, but some people have also used o-rings with them for added peace of mind.
