My LS1 injectors work O-K-DOK-E on my HSR. It is different, I know, but is supposed to be the same heighth. The injectors, when stood up side by side with each other, do show a difference. But anyone who owns the injectors knows that the difference from O-Ring to O-ring is only .08, just under 1/10". Just make sure that they are seated in the rail all of the way and then slowly lower the injector rail assembly onto the plenum. Works fine for me and what I have read from everyone else.

I am running the accel base and ls1 injectors. yes you need to grind the fuel rail mounts down to get them to seat properly. don't have to take that much off though, and if you decide to go to taller injectors you can just use shims to fit them.

arent the ls1 injectors a 5 bar system? if you run them with 42 psi they are equivalent to a 22lb injector. to have them operate at 27-28lb you would have to run 56psi fuel pressure. i am correct right?

Actually, it depends on what year LS1 injectors you got. '98, '01, and '02s are 28.5#/hr rating at 58 psi. These injectors will flow about 24.5#/hr at 43.5psi which is what our stock fuel pressure is on our 3rd gens.

So there is no confusion. I got a '99 LS1 Camaro SS and an '87 Camaro IROCZ. I have swapped out injectors many times and had to reset the flow constant in the computer.

If you have any questions about fuel flow rates, please ask here.

r3pp3r,

If what I see are the orings on the bottom end of the injectors, then those injectors are NOT deep enough in the intake bosses.
I would expect that you would have a massive fuel leak. Get the fuel rail posts milled/ground down.

I use SVO injectors in my Accel manifold so they must be longer than the LS1 injectors. I have never compared the two.

If you got them from SLP then they are rated at L98 fuel pressure rating for stock injectors.

I have the Superram and Edelbrock base and SLP LS1 Injectors. No problems here. I first placed the injectors in the bores then placed fuel rail on top. Although they are a tad shorter I have no problems. I had to burn a constant of 28# in my chip to get the BLM's where they needed to be. I tried 25 at first and my BLM's were 108 everywhere. Black smoke like no tomorrow

The LS1 injectors work with the super ram because they work with TPI and they have the same fuel rail and base (even accel base). Based on your picture the injectors are not fully seated. You should not see the o-rings like you do in your picture.
