change in 86tpi to 88tpi

Whats the differance between the 86 tpi and the 88tpi that Vortec supercharger needs to specify for

thats what i figured, but my fathers old 1987 Formula had a serpentine stock.. so i been confused by that

and the catalog says 1988-1992

Transmission: 700R4/2400 stall

Axle/Gears: B/W 3:27 posi disc

A/C and the alt are on differant side of the car in 88. Up to 87 the a/c compresser is on the driver side and 88 and up it is on the pass side,vice versa for the alt.

hmmm,

do they make a vortec setup for 86 then ?
i've already removed my AC setup, and i am installing a serpentine, so can i get away with using the 88-92 setup ?
