Are there any differences in an L98 and LT1 block? im thinking about changing to an LT1 but without the opti spark and i dont want to run the reverse water pump. Can it be done?

Hmmm . . . maybe... Where the water pump bolts on is alot different on an LT1 (can't just bolt on a standard SBC pump)...
An LT1 block is ALOT different then a small block chevy.. The LT1 is reverse flow colling, and like you said uses OPTIJUNK. Your best deal is use a modified LT1 intake on a SBC like previoulsy stated. Trust me, the LT1 is great in my 95 TA but in no means would i ever transplant one into my 85. NEVER. I will be using the intake though.
