New chassis dyno results
OK guys I had my 87 vert back on the chassis dyno last night and thought I would share the results.
The only changes made from the last dyno test was removal of the factory exhaust and cats and installing a true dual 2 1/2" exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and a chip done by Jesse (ski_down_it)
my new power numbers are a max of 254.3 hp at 4600 rpm and 331.7 on torque at 3200 rpm which is where the test started.
the power is very flat from 4100 rpm - 4900 rpm never dropping below 250 hp.
I made some progress but am still not where I wanted to be.
I guess the factory headers are still holding it back along with the possibly the heads.
according to a local shop they are only flowing 211 cfm at 600 lift on intake and 172 cfm at 600 lift on exhaust.
Plan on going to the local 1/8 mile track in the next couple weeks and see what she does but I dont expect alot based on the 2.73 Dana 36 rear.

I have to agree. Those are good numbers for the mods. I have always had to add a lot of mods to get any horsepower out of my engine. That equals money.

In case the original post was not seen
I have a TPIS ZZ9 cam, cleaned up D port 113 heads, TPIS Big Mouth base, AS&M semi-siamised runners, ported plenum, and now a 2 1/2" true dual exhaust.
I was hoping for about 380 horsepower at the tires but I still have to get and install headers so maybe that will put me there.
Thanks for the compliments and encourgament

I know I said 380 horsepower but I meant 280 horsepower at the rear tires.
I know headers wont add 130 horsepower.
Sorry for the mistake
