Knock sensor

i was wondering if anyone knows what the torque spec for the knock sensor is supose to be. also is it supose to be on the driver side or passenger side of the block.

A little trick for the KS is to tighten it until no coolant leaks out. Some, but not all KS are more sensitive than others, and having them a bit looser will make them less likely to pull timing out on you, hindering performance. This is one of the performance tips in the GM service manual. (also in the Howell Developments TPI manual also). Im not sure if there is indeed a TQ spec. but I never needed one.

The KS is usually on the right side of the block, but they can be located anywhere, in hopes to make them less sensitive.
