Car: 1992 firdbird formula
Engine: 5.7 tpi
Transmission: 700r4
cam choice?

I'm building a 350 tpi motor. i'm going with the super ram,head work, 2800 stall, it has headers, chip and under drive pulleysand 3.73 gear. i was wondering it the attached link would be a good cam choice. if not what cam would yall go with. thanks for any help justin

Could you elaborate on the "head work" part? It might make a significant difference in the cam selection.

Stock heads that are shaved a bit aren't going to make a lot of difference, but milled. seriously ported, larger valves that are iinstalled deeper, can all make significant changes in compression, flow, and efficiency. Just by installing 2.02/1.60 valves you could change the peak lift requirement for flow, and may want to review the spring selection.

Regardless of the "chip" you have now, you'll likely need to alter it to make the most of a cam change.

Aslo, which headers? Tube length and diameter?

Just my opinion but that cam is on the large size at 224 degrees @.050" on the intake side. If it were me I would back it down a size or two. Forgot to ask if this is a street/strip car? Allen

That cam will not work because your car has a hydraulic roller cam in it and that cam you're looking at is for a flat tappet block(86 & earlier). Try tihs link. This should help you.
