Distributer For HSR

OK I'm thinking about getting a HSR for my camaro. I was wondering what distributer set up some of you guys are using with that style intake setup.

Well, there are two distributor types for third gen (I think). Lrage cap and a small cap. My '87 came with the small cap and a remote coil. This small cap is the one I think you must install with the HSR. FWIW, I use an MSD distributor.

Thanks for the tip doc. I currentley have the large cap hei distributer. Do you know if the plug for ignition module is the same? Mine is a 4 wire plug I think. Have looked at it in a while the car is stored for winter.

You can buy an adaptor harness for the large to small cap distributors. I had one on my 86 when I went to a TPI setup.
I am running an MSD Pro Billet on my 88 Formula with the HSR.

I went to a local junkyard, and cut the harness out of a junk late model van, and just soldered them to my harness. I figured that I'm never going to put the large cap distributor back in, so I converted my harness. The wires are all the same color, they just have different plugs.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have one last question. Where can I get the adapter harness?

I got mine from www.fuelinjection.com, I think it was $25 or so. I think it was 2 harnesses, one for the distributor and one for the coil, it's been so long that I can't remember.
