1/8 mile track results

I posted about a week ago on the new dyno results after removing the factory exhaust and installing a true duel system and a custom tuned chip from ski_down_it (thanks Jesse) along with my previous mods.
I took the Vette to the local track Friday night and ran a couple passes with the best being an 8.40 at 83.94 mph.
This is all done with the stock converter and factory 2.73 rear gear.
My best run last year was 9.39 at 73.xx mph.
I would like to try a set of full length headers next and see what results I get from them.
I just got a price on the coated super comps with emission hook ups from summitt for $519.95 so looks like they will be the next mod.
What are your thougts on installing a MSD 6AL box?
Is it worth the money to install at this point?
Thanks

Very good time for your mods. I have a ZZ9 cam and Trickflow heads just to match your times. I don't know if you have a custom cold air intake or not. If you don't that should be the your next mod after the long tube runners. The Pontiacs have a poor intake track to the throttle body. Allen

These times are for my 87 Corvette convertible.
I installed a ZZ9 cam, 1.5 comp cam pro magnum roller rockers,
TPIS big mouth base, AS&M semi-siamised runners, 113 D-port heads that have been mildly cleaned up in the runners, and port matched the plenum to the runners prior to the exhaust and chip.
Also these times are with the stock 2.73 rear gears.

So far my GTA is still stock at least until summer when I plan to build up my 406 along with a Holley Stealth Ram and drop it in.

Looks good. Some 3.73 or 3.42 I think would help out ALOT on your 1/4mi. Although, being a Vette you may not want to knock your top end off.

How much work did you have to do to the PROM w/ that ZZ9 cam?
