which is faster
which is faster
Okay, it might be obviouse to some but not for me.
Consider a 305 5L TPI auto trans am and a VW golf VR6 ( I believe about 210 HP).
would the trans am be faster? It should even though it has less hp. considering it has more torque and all the effect comes in at a lower RPM. I may be wrong but hope not
Or how about a same trans am with a 4 Cyl sedan with 200 hp turbo engine of some sort. Who wins then?
I guess I alwasy thought that hp is what determines but then again torque should also be part of the picture.
I am sure some of you have already raced some cars so maybe you can post what you won and what you lost against.... (not including other V8 cars)
Thanks,
Sam

This should probably be in the racing board, but.....
If the VW is not too light and it is a short race, would could get it. If it is the first person to the spot that is 1/3 mile away, you might not be so lucky.
