I've got some questions about HSR and many other things.

Right now I have a L98 out of a 91 vette in my 91 camaro z28. It is bored .60 over, ported plenum, ram air K&N filter, flowmaster exhaust with no cat, BBK throttle body, performance torque converter(cant remember exactly what tho lol) and synthetic oil..which about sums that up. Its best run was a 13.6 in the 1/4 mile. I am thinking about buying a Holley Stealth Ram intake, along with a bigger cam. Now originally I was thinking a ZZ4 cam, but would this allow me to get the full effect of the HSR? Also I was thinkin about going with SLP LM headers. Ne better Ideas? What I am looking for is my car not to sound like a drag car, I want the idle not to be too messed up like I have heard from the majority of cams. I need some help on this, also what kind of gains would I get out of this combo?

Because frankly, I'm getting sick of being owned by little punk bitches driving LS1's. I can hang with/beat LT1's but an LS1 is a different story.

---No. You need a cam that is arted higher than that. ZZ4 cam is good for a daily driven stock 350 TPI. Some of the better cams are the CC306, LT4 Hot cam, a "224/230" cam. Those are usually good choices. I had great results with the hot cam. Once I had it tuned properly, No one knew there wasn't a stock cam in there. Go to www.stealthram.com for more on that, or try a search.

Also I was thinkin about going with SLP LM headers. Ne better Ideas?
---They are good headers, but a bad choice because of price. Get hooker longtubes or Hooker shorties Ceramic coated for less than the SLPs. Visit the exhaust boards for more on that.

What I am looking for is my car not to sound like a drag car, I want the idle not to be too messed up like I have heard from the majority of cams. I need some help on this,
---Start reading up on EFI and the DIY PROM boards. People have made cc306s and cams with LSA's of 108 sound stock.

also what kind of gains would I get out of this combo?
Mike Davis has achieved 11's with the HSR in his 350. Almost everyone hits 12's.

---Cars are not always about who you beat or how fast it is, rather the memories, knowledge and fun you get from playing with them.

Not to start a flame war but, there will always be someone faster. If you're trying to beat everyone you meet you better have a water cooled wallet.

What color paint is that Kyle? Also where in Illinois are you, I could introduce you to a few people from the boards.
