Engine -> Hoist Attachment
Okay so when putting a TPI engine in... what's the best idea..
Drop engine in without intake on, using bolts in the intake bolt holes to attach the chains...
or...
Put intake on before, and figure out how to attach chains to it...?
Or are there any other ideas?

I did mine with Lower intake on. Chain attached to left front of cylinder head, right rear of intake. Mine had a small bracket attached to the two intake bolts seemingly from the factory. I guess it doesn't matter, just more time leaning over the fenders.

You've got a PM.
I'm trying to stay away from putting that little hook back on there, I don't like the appearance of it, lol. I'm just picky.

That hook attaches to your a/c doesn't it. It did on mine. So if you are keeping a/c leave the hook. I used the back left head and front right head on the accessory bracket holes.

I really want to put the intake on before dropping the engine in, it seems like it would be easier to make sure it's on and sealed right and everything.

T.P.I.S. makes & sells an attachment called the "Happy Hooker". It was first used on the 4th gen cars with the LT1. But they now sell them with holes for TPI, TBI, LS1 and some carbed intakes. Workes better than anything else I've saw!
