change to TPI
By what I've read on different posts, I'm correct in understanding that if I pull a complete TPI setup including harnes, computer and sensors from an 86 305 / 700R4 and transplant it into an 86 carb 305 / t-5 that it won't work? or should I say won't work without reprogramming the computer? I've never fooled with fuel injection or computer cars before so I am totaly "green" on the subject but I want to learn. Is there an "easy" way to do it?

It will work without any reprogramming. Might have some idle down issues (deceleration), but it shouldn't be too bad. I ran a 700r4 eprom for a while with my T56 without any problems at all.

Thanks for the info! I was scared there for a minute and was about ready to scrap the idea of changing it. Me not knowin much about computer controlled vehicles and fuel injection, it would a hard learn to trouble shoot if I did have problems. I've always been afraid I would fry something.
