If you are not planning to upgrade your cam or anything then what you have should still work. 305's can make some decent power but you have to sink a lot of money in to them to do so. I am not going to tell you to just go out and buy a 350. It all depends on what you are doing with your current motor. If your injectors have never been cleaned then while they are out of the car send them off to be cleaned and flow matched. You could port out your plenum some as well. What upgrades are you going to do on the motor?

slight cam upgrade probably ....but not enough to change any fuel air ratio's really.....just enough to breath a little more at wide open ...and....i don't think i'm gonna reuse these injectors cause the guy that owned the car before me didn't do any maitenence on it..so it has some current issues such as
really bad hesitation everytime you bring it off idle....but after it recovers from stuttering for a second its fine
and i believe it to be fuel delivery issues...and i'm restoring this bird anyways...so i might as well get all new parts for the rebuild...since they were abused anyway
and since you got me talking..what do you think about the hesitation?.....fuel pressure is 40 pounds....flow rate out of the pump is just over the minimum that is acceptable by spec
