Intake problems...

I am looking for a street legal (emission legal) intake manifold for a 1989 Iroc Z. I plan on having it bored and stroked to a 383, and I heard the stock TPI give a 383 problems. Can anyone tell me what a good performing intake that is still emission legal? Which still can house the EGR. Links would be nice.

Stock TPI would limit the engines ability to make power over 5k.

there is alot of room to port the stock tpi base and the plenum if you are on a budget.. Hogged out SLP runners or the large tube ASandM would be your best bet here.

As far as keeping it "legal" with egr your looking at a regular tpi style base, like the edelbrock or accell base(and the of course larger diameter or siamesed runners) or going with a Superram setup.

Hit the search feature and read the TPI article sticky up top from Street Rodders magazine, some good info to be had

later

Accel Superram if its going to be legal............

I had Big mouth and LTR on my 383 and then changed to Superram and night and day diff.......With LTR it pulled to 4800rpm and with superram up to 5800 rpm when i shifted.
