Best cam for mild TPI ?

I am building a motor fo my 86 Z28. It's a mid 70's 350 bored .040 over with cast flat tops. I mave decided to run a set of Edelbrock Preformer RPM heads. They are 64cc 2.02,1.60. I am installing a maf tpi setup on this motor. I would like to use a retorfit roller cam. Does anyone have any suggestions on what cam i shoud run.

70's 350 .040
Flatop Pistons
Hooker Headers
Plan on buying aftermarket intake runners
Portmatched Intake Base
Dual snorkel
Edelbrock Preformer RPM heads

LT4 Hotcam is always popular
ZZ4 Cam
LPE 211

I have have the Lt4 hotcam in my setup and am fairly pleased with it. Anyone of those will work with ursetup since ur running MAF. The computer will adjust to it easier then SD

Comp xr 264 hr-12, but for $100 or so the zz4 is hard to beat.

Since you have the Edelbrock heads, go with the LPE 211/219 sa mentioned prior, if you do not have the cash, then by all means go with the ZZ4.

Yep, the above two would be hard to beat. I would not go past 212 degrees on the inlet side. The ZZ4 is an excellant cam which I have seen for sale around $100 as a new part take off. Lots of people get the ZZ4 shortblock and sell the ZZ4 cam. Allen

He can't run an LT4 Hotcam, or a ZZ4, or the Lingenfelter cam mentioned since they are all hydraulic rollers. Unless they have retrofit versions of them available (which I've never seen), then I stand corrected.

Anyways, the LT4 Hotcam isn't a good choice for him. Don't know the specs on the other two.

I agree with 1989GTATransAm, stay around 212 or slightly less even.

They make those cams in close to the same profiles in a flat tappet.
