Will this work on my 89 350?

http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...2&autoview=sku

I was looking at that kit to put into my soon to be 383, in conjunction with the Accel SuperRam. How would this combo fair and would it even work? I was readin through the applicaitons and its says applies to 1967-1986 5.7 litres. The only note it had was would not fit LT1. Would this fit on my 383 TPI w/ SuperRam?

No it will not work on yours. You have a roller block and that is made for a flat-tappet block. I mean it will work but you would be down grading from the roller block.

It is considered "downgrading" because flat tappet is the really old-school SBC valvetrain setup. Flat tappet is good for a really high revving race motor. They tend to have less longevity and streetability. Unless you are building a race motor, I'd stay with a hydraulic roller setup.

With roller you have less friction in the drivetrain parts allowing for more horsepower. I have heard it is about a 15-20hp difference between the flat-tappet and roller.
