Would a clogged fuel filter cause no fuel pressure?

I've got some problems. Today, I started the car, ran fine, no problems at all. About 5 hours later, it started, then died. Now, it will not start at all and I have no fuel pressure. The car has been sitting in the garage for about 6 months without being started..thought maybe it might have bad gas....which is possible..but...no fuel pressure? Just trying to think of things it could be before I think about replacing the fuel pump Any takes on this? Would a clogged fuel filter cause this?

If it were -really- clogged, maybe. Does the pump prime with the key turned forward? Have you tested the pump by applying 12v to the 'G' terminal to bypass everything else?

I haven't tested the fuel pump yet...that will be the next thing to try. I just went out in the garage...the car started fine...fuel pressure is fine...like there is nothing wrong. Now that it's running fine...I can hear the pump prime...I tryed it several times and it sounds fine...
